I was in an emobile/Meteor shop earlier and my mother was told of a special offer this weekend only, an additional 50 euro of all upgrades on bill pay off any phone.

Lad in the store said the samsung s6 and iphone 5s had 100euro off so that's an even better deal. Not sure if its advertised anywhere it might be a retail only offer....

We ended up paying only 99euro for a samsung s6 which yesterday would have cost 199.

    well worth checking out!

    Sounds like a good deal.

Three at the Moment have the S6 reduced to €0 on their €55 p/m plan. Unlimited Data & Thouasnds of flexiunits.

1 flexiunit = 1 minute call or 2 text messages. Essentially it is unlimited Data Texts & Calls.

    Thanks OP.

They are going to come under pressure from the likes of Carphone Warehouses ID and the imminent UPC-Virgin Mobile networks.

I guess it all depends on the plan and contract length. Paying €55 a month is €30 more than what you'd probably get all your usage covered for with a lot of sim only plans, over 24 months that's €720.

The best way to buy a phone was for years to get on a contract, but sim only deals are so good now, it can be often better just to pay up front for the phone and be out of contract on a sim only plan.

Of course if you badly want the phone and haven't the funds to pay up front, then it could be a good monthly payment plan for owning the phone immediately.

Vodafone have 100 euro off all billpay handsets if you switch to their network all this month, the rest follow suit 😂

New iPhone announced on September 9th and the Samsung S7 will be in the rumour mill the following month for January release. Get rid of old stock now, the shops are saying ;)
