Congratulations BLM! I hope the dogs enjoy their new sister!

This is the 16th reply to this thread, and no one has asked to see her photo yet - if she were a puppy photos would have been demanded ages ago :D

Thanks everybody!! We got home today and the dogs are delighted, not a bother with Coco and Buddy, Benson was going to be the worry for us but he's been brilliant! He's had a little sniff, not reacted in his loud (usual!) way and hasn't given off any uncomfortable signals. Himself had brought home some of her dirty clothes from the hospital and let them all sniff. The buggy has been pottering about for a while so it's not a new thing at all to them at all, as has the moses basket been sitting in the bedroom. With all the building and upheaval they have been getting very used to things moving and changing and are almost immune to new bits of furniture, even ones that move on wheels :D

On a sad note, my lovely next door neighbour passed away not 12 hours after our daughter was born. Her brother is our fantastic helper with the dogs, so we know them all fairly well. She had been in the hospital I gave birth in for the past couple of months with kidney failure and had been asking every day for weeks had I had the baby but she never got to meet her. We're hoping on some level she might have sensed it, as baby arrived just as she left the world - the oldest resident of our road leaves as the youngest arrives. We went to her removal tonight and her family were saying she was still asking even as her speech was going she was still asking but she passed so peacefully she must have sensed she arrived and it was ok to go. She loved the dogs as well and loved having "younger" neighbours. Our house was originally built by her cousin and so we were only "blow ins" but we were welcomed with open arms by Mary & family. We'll miss her :(
