    Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody can help. I have an Advanced Cert. In early childhood education and care with Montessori level 6 and a level 6 special needs cert too. I'm currently working in a special school where I have been working for the last 6 years. I'm considering doing the train the trainer course as I'd like to be a part time or online tutor for a private college (I'm aware you need a degree and teaching council number to work in VECs and PLC colleges).

Is anybody currently doing this job or knows anything about this, that could give me some advice? As I don't want to waste money doing the course to be told afterwards that I'm not qualified enough. Thanks

I would think a train the trainer at this point would be a waste of money. I would suggest you get a level 7 qualification first. With that you would stand a better chance of getting tutoring work. St Angela's college do a blended, online and weekend, course at level 7 which would do wonders for your CV!
That's where I'd start and go from there.
