Hi all, I was at a interview for a new job yesterday and they want to send me for a medical test in the next week or two, could anyone outline what the medical outlines what is involved in it, I'm 18 and don't smoke and rarely drink.

Usually test if you are physically fit(Flexibility, Reaction etc), hearing test & vision test/Isihari Colour text too. Sometimes a drug test too depending on the nature of the employment. Nothing to worry about if you are anyway healthy.

Thanks for the reply, I'm really nervous fir this Medical Test, I'm 18 and keep myself active, the reason I'm worried is because I have acne not a bad dose, and I'm worried incase that effects me in anyway if they take my bloods or anything

Acne won't affect the results of a medical

Don't be worrying about such a minor thing, you'll fly through it with flying colours. Don't be worrying.

I refused to give my notice until i passed medical for new job
    so they pushed it thru
The Dr performing it told me that its nearly impossible to fail medical for most jobs
That is basically drawing a line in the sand - weight, eyesight, hearing etc and a chance to highlight any precautions that might have to be taken by employee/employer

so dont worry you'll be fine

At 18 you have little to nothing to worry about.

One condition that isn't really inhibiting but can become an issue at these medicals is varicous veins.

An acne issue won't even be brought up but if you're interested you could probably ask is there anything related in your blood tests.

It's for a very large company so I really want to pass it, sounds like it's just something straight forward

nothing to worry about at all. its just procedure, probably for insurance and legal reasons. its normally a very good sign if you ve been called for a medical as it normally means you pretty much have the job but dont get too excited unless it doesnt work out for whatever reasons. best of luck with it
