hi just got a set of these.. like they're made of ice..

I had euro cycles own brand ones before and they were much better.

I think you need at least one new bike.

They cannot be worse than Time pedals.

They are the bottom of the ladder Look pedals... the retention system is just moulded plastic.. they cost about €30.. I don't think it's fair to blanket all Look pedals based on your experience with the worst pair they offer...

If you want to stick with Look, go for the Keo-Easy or the Keo-Easy Plus (adjustable) I've used Keos Easy before and even though I prefer Shimano, the Keos Easy are very good.

3 solid rides and they have broken. I get it that they are the lower end of the product line but there is such a thing as "fit for purpose".

Cheap or not, no pedal should break that easy in normal use.

Time to speak to the company!

There must be some sort of warranty on these-if they've broken after 3 spins, bring 'em back to the shop and ask for a refund/replacements.
In fairness, Look do make some decent pedals. I have a pair of Keo pedals, sort of cheapish, with a spring instead of a plate for retention and they're grand. I also have the Keo Carbon blades, which are really fantastic, though a tad pricey at about €130.

In 2009 I had a set of Time RXS Carbon Ulteam Titanium Pedals which suffered a pedal body failure (the front tab snapped off).

I got a replacement set and the same thing happened.

More recently I got several sets of Time Xpresso 4 pedals. I've got through about five sets of cleats this year.
