Airbnb -v- Holiday Lettings

We are aiming to go to France in summer 2016 and for part of our trip want to hire a house on the West coast for a week.

We have used Airbnb several times, once in France and we are happy to continue to do so.

However, in my searches I have found a house that would suit us but is over-budget on Airbnb. But the exact same house is on Holiday Lettings for half the price for the week.

We have never used Holiday Lettings at all. For us Airbnb works from a Guest point-of-view.

Has anyone use Holiday Lettings and could give an opinion ?

Also with the Holiday Lettings site - I can't seem to find where they show the Extra Fees (ie Cleaning etc) for each property or indeed the amount of the Security Deposit. From my reading it seems to suggest that these are not made known to you until after you have booked and paid a non-refundable deposit. With Airbnb you can see all the fees etc before you make the Booking.

All advice welcome. Thanks in advance.

I've used holidaylettings.com a few times with no problems. homeaway.com is very good too and I would use that site more than any other. I've also noticed the same properties on these sites as airbnb but the rates on airbnb are higher, so it definitely pays to shop around.
