Apologies if this has been asked but could not find an answer in the search.
Does anybody have any experience of getting a main dealer to stamp the RF111 form for engine conversion? (Know of any that will do it?).
I've put a 2.2 litre diesel in my old w126 Merc but absolutely no garages I've contacted will entertain doing the inspection and stamping the form (because revenue is involved and because the amount of scams in the past).
The car is an 82 so the tax is only 50 euro anyway, not trying to dodge it.
My only other option is to export the car to the UK, complete engine swap details there on the new V5C then import it back into Ireland as a diesel. Or as some have you have no doubt thought, put the pertol back in.. but I like the diesel!!
