noisy combi boiler

    Hi all

I have just installed a new vokera compact 25, combi boiler . I have placed it in a utility press downstairs. It is on a party wall, with a very noise sensitive neighbour. It was turned on tonight for the first time and the noise of it is awful (even for a non-sensitve person like myself!). I could cry. it sounds stupid to say that I forgot about the noise issue in the whole planning of the project - but I did.

I am just wondering if anyone could tell me whether such noise (subjective I know) is normal for these boilers and more importantly, is there anything I can do to reduce the noise?

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks
    cm

Newer boilers are very quiet. Was your system powerflushed before the boiler was fitted?

Thanks for reply . I don't know about power flushing . I can check. Wondering at this stage wld it be worth calling out a vokera engineer to have a look, before tackling the plumber about it? Tks again

What kind of noise are you talking about?

Could we be talking about a noisy pump here rather than the boiler itself given that the install is downstairs?
