If you're a young-ish driver, and it's your first car, and you're thinking of 1.6 mini's and you're budget is 3k, he's right, your local insurance broker should probably be one of your first ports of call. They'll give you a fair idea of costs. Then pick your motor. The price of car insurance has gone mental . . again.
