I have accommodation booked in the Algarve in early October. My question is are flight prices more likely to rise or fall as my date approaches. There seems to plenty of flight options still available to Faro.Should I hold out or bite the bullet.Thanking you in advance ....Cheers

I'd be inclined to book now, the summer has been bad weather, prices across the board seems to be jumped up for winter sun compared to previous years, not many deals at all about.

    Book now.

It's a common thread on a few travel forums - flight prices to Spain and Portugal are on the rise due to the fact that many are nervous about former winter sun staples like Tunisia and Egypt. Turkey is looking a little less attractive now for many for much the same reasons.

I booked flights for salou end of October a few weeks ago. They are nearly double now.
Although it is for the mid term break. Dates either side of that week have also risen but not by as much.
