Thoughtful article in The Guardian, earlier this week,on how the Conservative's approach to Publicly Funded Bus Services is working out....or not ?

I've recently spent a week in and around the Somerset area, and the local pub-chat there would appear to support John Harris's opinion....

One interviewee's statement did strike a chord...
Political theatre also takes some of the blame: as the CBT’s Martin Abrams puts it: “With transport policy, politicians like to mooch about in hard hats and hi-vis jackets. You can’t really do that on a bus.”

I wonder if the NTA take The Guardian.....?

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
