Cherry Cider

Having made a few turbo ciders and ginger beers with reasonable success I decided to have a go at a cherry cider after spotting Cherry Juice 1 Lt in Tesco among their new lines. The finished product was very impressive indeed. The closest thing that I can compare it to is the Belgian beer Leffe Ruby. I followed the standard turbo cider recipe in a 5 Lt demijohn. I didn't add any extra sugar at this stage as I didn't want it to be overly alcoholic.

    3 Lt Tesco Cherry Juice.
    1/2 cup of strong tea
    Cider or Champagne yeast.
Top off with Lidl Cloudy Apple Juice.

**1 level teaspoon of granulated sugar for the secondary fermentation when bottling to 500 ml bottles.

Nice. Sounds lovely. I made a cherry wine before. It was surprisingly like red wine.
