No air onto windscreen (Passat B5.5)

    I noticed yesterday that I've no air flow onto the windscreen from the dashboard vents. Also there always seems to be air coming from the foot well vents.

    I'm guessing its something to do with the servo motors not working.

    If so would it be possible to open the vents so there is air coming out of windscreen vents all the time and close the foot well vents?

    The central vents open and close fine.

    Not an expert on this by any means, had a similar problem last year on Kia Ceed, it transpired that the pollen filters were blocked and required replacing, might be worth checking out!
