Another ridiculous "documentary" on TV3

    Anyone see it just there?

This week TV3 decided to uncover Ireland's epidemic drug problem in an amazingly rabble rousing documentary about the HORRORS of drugs, and its scourge on this country. Included were grainy footage from interviews of drug users with blurred out faces about how "drugs are EVERYWHERE", syringes sucking liquid off maps to show drug routes and interviews with people who went from knowledgable to, frankly, bat**** insane.

One woman claimed that cannabis is proven to be addictive, and a gateway drug, both patently and repeatedly shown to be false. They also showed interviews with police drug officials who were apparently "keeping our country safe". Of course for balance, they had a part about legalisation, with a hippy stoner going on about legalising it while covered in paint at a parade, interspersed with different people saying how dangerous cannabis is.

I'm 100% pro legalisation, the drug war has failed as they said. Do TV3 really think they can get away with this tat? What's next, "Ireland's flu epidemic"? I can imagine some old woman not knowing much on the subject getting a bit shaken. Please someone correct and say it was journalistic gold.

This reads like you expect something else from sensationalist tripe tv. You really shouldn't be surprised. TV3 aren't all that different from RTE and many other programme makers and broadcasters nowadays that try to appeal to the lowest intellectual common denominator in a desperate bid for eyeballs to increase their advertising revenue.

Let this be a lesson. Nothing good is ever on TV3.
