By any chance do you have MAC filtering turned on?

Have you rebooted the router? Might sound simple, but is often a fix on older less up to date routers...

Is it an older router? I used to have to change the wifi channel on an older router to get my laptop to connect but newer version of eircom router fixed this issue.

Check that band wifi is auto on the tablet under advanced wood settings.

    Band is auto
This is a UPC horizon box so technically no individual router...no settings on TV to change bands either...there used to be...

Are you using the 5 GHz Wifi?

Have you tried disabling it, if you are not using it?

Have you tried turning off 5GHz on the Nexus.

I don't have such a box, but my son has, and he had problems, bad wifi from the box anyway, but he solved for himself by only utilising 2.4 GHz, getting a wifi monitor app to check the channels, and use the channel which was least busy, if those readings can be trusted.

There also was Free Wifi thingy, which uses 5GHz I think, not sure if it can be disabled.

Or, you could try using 5 G Hz exclusively on the Nexus, the range I believe is bad.....

Or again connect a better router to the box, use the box for TV only, and the router, any old router, properly configured, would be better than the Horizon for Wifi.....that was my sons conclusion anyway.

    Thread here about your options

    Best of luck.
