Regulator gone?

    Hi,

I have a 06 primera and yesterday the driver side window stuck while I was trying to put it down. I managed to get it closed again but it slipped down slightly on the drive home. When I got home I tried to push it back up and it slipped down completely. The motor sounds like it's working so I'm thinking that the regulator is gone. Would people here agree? Just wanted opinions before I started fixing it.

    Cheers.

Remove door card and have a look. It sounds like the window may have become unseated from its rails.

Thanks biko, if it has come unseated is it likely to keep happening or should reseating it sort it long term?

It depends on what the actual issue is.
There is special adhesive you can buy make the window stick to the rollers again if that's the issue.
It could be the cables too in which case you need a new regulator.

But before you take a look it's anyone's guess what happened.

    Biko,

Thanks for the info, I will have a look this evening, hopefully the window has just slipped off the rollers!
