'Certifying' Documents

I'm making an application to have my degree assessed by a foreign university.

They want certified copies of all documents relevant to the application.

One document they requested is a copy of the NUI Grade Descriptors which can be found online here.

Since it is an online document is it necessary to have it certified and if not, should I add the web address to the document or something?

Entirely depends on what's acceptable to the foreign university. If they want it certified, they want it certified. If they're happy to take uncertified copies of documents that they can verify themselves online, well and good.

Ask them. Whether we think they should or should not accept uncertified copies of documents available online is irrelevant; all that matters is whether they in fact will or not, and they are the only people who can tell you that.

Or, just get it certified. You may not need to, but it might be easier and quicker to do that than to find out whether you need to do that.

I wouldnt think it would need to be certified, but maybe you should clarify with the university?
Maybe attach a cover note to the online page with where it can be found?
    Certifying is an expensive process..

It certainly is. Where possible I am trying to have the police certify the documents for me to avoid any excessive fees.

Hmmm, the guards? not sure that that counts as certified though... Not for a foreign university. But I am unsure.
I had to get my qualifications stamped by education dept and/or dept of foreign affairs too and then the embassy of the country not sure was it for studying or teaching english (in taiwan). Didnt use it in the end either! Went elsewhere.
You should look into what certifying means for the university.

You may need to get it certified for foreign use. Generally a Notary Public does this and the fee I believe is €50 or so

Fees vary, depending on who it is, how they feel, if they know you etc. Definitely not a standard fee.

I was advised when I was getting documents notarised that sometimes the notary did them for free... I had to get a number of documents done at different times in the same month -never got anything for free!
