Dartford Crossing

Has anyone here used and paid for the Dartford Crossing in London? I've had a look online and I can't see how I can make a one-off payment using a credit card. Has anyone used it and not paid and later been pursued for penalties?

I used it twice recently. Just did a search for DART CHARGE online and then followed the links. It wasn't unlike the M50 payments.
