I painted a wall the other day but I notice that the finish has a kind of small stipple effect .
    Q Why would this happen.

    Thanks

    Interior or exterior?

    Plastered or skimmed?

Sorry, should have given more detail.

Interior skimmed wall which was painted a few years ago...(not by me)

I washed it down.. gave a light sanding ..removed dust...undercoated with a roller and applied matt finish again with a roller .

    Thanks

The roller sleeve may have been too heavy. Was it an medium pile interior sleeve?
