have a clean 2001 9-5 se - with leather - only about 120k mls - tyres decent. - only problem is its smokey on start up- runs great other than that - must be turbo ? its been off the road for 2 years now but that was only because it was a weekend car and couldnt justify the high running costs ( have use of gf car also)

assume i should advertise it on donedeal ? how much should i look for it ? as its been taken off the road , is it the same procedure as if was still registered when it comes to sending off the log book ?

Hate to rain on your parade, but I know of 2 Saabs locally with blown engines - let me put it this way: one garage cut the loom on one yesterday and sold me part of it for mine. . ....I'm just trying to get another few years out of mine....

...A blown turbo is one step away from a blown engine. ....my point is Saabs are getting uneconomic to repair in a lot of cases ...and I'm a Saab fan btw. ..

Put it on donedeal and adverts with many pics and lots of text.
    See what people offer.

You could try FM Auto's in FiveMile.. http://www.fmautos.ie/

He's a SAAB dealer and may take it off you .. He has plenty other old cars down there for scrap also.

Plenty of enthusiasts for saabs around, especially for 9-5's
Did you drop the sump and check for the dreaded sludge problem when you got the car?
Oil sludge could (would?) have caused oil starvation and thus damaged the turbo.

i asked the sales guy in Fm last year wasnt interested ( maybe will try Fergus) - those scrapped cars are probably cars traded in at one stage.

bought it for £2k in 2011, no not mechanically minded so aside from getting serviced , tyres , crankshaft sensor didnt get anything else done.
