    Hello folks,

its a 4 inch internal stud wall and I wand to put some sound insulation between the studs. I have lots of 6 inch earthwool insulation left over from the ceiling and wonder would this help any with regard to sound insulation if I stuffed it between the studs? I also have some 4 inch earthwool insulation.

    Thanks a lot,

The earthwool will help. You can also use soundproofing plasterboard. Its usually blue in colour. Well worth using

Rockwool do a soundproofing product. I used it years ago to soundproof a wall where bands where playing on one side and they wanted it quiet on the other side. Turned out a great job. You could barely hear anything unless someone left a door open. It came in nice workable 4 by 2 Batts.
