    Hi all

Last month I got recommended a tyre that my mate had on his m3. Said they were great in the dry and wet. So took a gamble. Turns out they cant handle the torque of my car and they **** themselves.

In the dry on full boost the tyres struggle to handle the power. In the wet its a nightmare.

So I will be replacing them with one of the following, just looking for recommendations from yous

    goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric v1
    Pirelli P-zero
    Michelin pilot super sport

Bare in mind my car has well over 500ftlbs and 320-340bhp so I need a tyre that cant handle that in the wet

    Thanks

What have you had on previously?
I think with the power available, alittle patience with the right foot could be called for in the wet.

I've the eagle f1 asymmetric v2 on my 530 and they're very grippy. I've only seen the traction control come on in the wet and even then there was no drama.

They're new however so I've no idea about wear rates. The v1's are an old tyre now IMO, best go for the v2's.

Goodyear eagle F1 asymmetric 2 all day long. Fantastic grip wet or dry. Comfortable on the road too.

Michelin PS3 for me would be my choice.

Vrrdistein ultrac sessanta or XL load rating v2 eagle F1's

The Sessantas are now end of life, have been replaced by the Vorti.

What did you have on that performed so poorly?

In fairness you don't need something special, any mid-high end tyre will give you decent grip and just ease off in the wet like anyone does if you have a decent amount of power.

on my old BMW 645ci i had a similar problem and those tyres were 275/35/19

i found the best tyres in the wet were Goodyear Asymmetric 2 also very very good in the dry
downside they get pretty loud when they are wearing out

Pirelli P-Zero (not zero rosso or zero nero or anything else just P-Zero)
great dry and decent wet grip . bit hard on the road

Michelin Pilot supersport outstanding dry grip and very good wet grip
    Expensive and fast wearing

    Continental Conti Sport 5p
most comfortable tyre by an absolute mile felt like i was driving on 17's not 19's also had very good dry and very good wet

Personally i dont rate Vredestein Ultrac sessanta they are decent in the dry but cant handle torque in the wet . they are very giddy
