Hi lads, just got into sheep and I bought my first few at the mart yesterday, anyway I just double checked the tag numbers against the sockets and two of them have some digits mixed up ie. Should be 00256D and they put 00255D , another one just has the last two digits mixed up, I probably made a rookie mistake and should of checked the tags before I left the mart, my question now is should I inform the department or should I just get in contact with the mart, would appreciate any help,

    Thanks

leave the department out of it. put the actual tag numbers of the sheep in your register and tell the mart office then send a follow up email to the mart with the details thus you have a dated record that you did all you could.
