Gerry Godley's long-running weekly world music programme comes to an end tonight - indeed, there was a time a few years ago when it aired twice a week, before being cut back to Tuesday nights. Luckily, Radio Kerry continues to support the equally enduring Global Village, but surely a national specialist music station should find a place in its schedule for such programming?

Another scheduling mistake from the clowns running the network.
A long running, entertaining, wide ranging world music show has just been axed from the publicly funded station claiming to be all about specialist music.

Maybe they'll schedule a Marty in the Morning Highlights Show there instead.
Ya'know ..... Abba, Willie Nelson, Shirley Bassey, the Drifters and a Spicy Chicken recipe from Neven Maguire.

Lyric needs more of this and less of that crappy World Music no-one likes, apparently.

Sorry to hear that show is ending. I didn't always hear it but loved some of his choices.

Agreed - Gerry will be missed on the Lyric airways.
