I have €15k in savings just hanging in a no interest account since it matured a few months back. Unsure what to do with it and looking for some advice? I have a small Gold investment and will just leave it be. I would be interested in investment options, shares, pension and savings options. should I speak to a broker or will this cost me an arm and a leg. any advice appreciated.

Well what have you looked at yourself so far? Have you read the rest of the threads on this forum related to investing? Have any of them given any ideas to you?

This question is pretty common, and usually under "bank deposits rates are crap, suggest me something better" title. A bit of leg work from yourself and providing some background info would probably lead to better answers e.g. do you need access to money quickly, can you afford to lose it all, what is your attitude to risk, do you know anything about investing, what age are you, how long are you planning to invest this money, do you own a house, do you have a pension already, do you have any dependents, do you have a specific goal for this cash, do you have an emergency fund outside this cash or is it your life savings, do you have any high interest outstanding loans that you would be better to pay off rather than investing or saving, do you like cats etc?.

Also read up on current market events, Bloomberg.com is a good source

Now wouldn't be a bad time to invest in some shares or ETFs. But be careful with your money and do as much research and monitoring of markets as possible (I would say a few months worth) before diving straight in
