HELP - Mac crashed & time machine only partially worked

My mac crashed last night, there was a problem with the disk and it rebooted itself & then wouldn't boot.

I booted into disk utilities & it said the partition (1GB divided into 300GB OS X & 700GB Storage) wasn't mountable.

My home folder was on the storage drive & my time machine was of the two partitions..

After a couple of hours, I finally got it to delete both partitions & was able to get a fresh install onto the now one partition drive. I did my time machine restore & it told me that my home folder had been moved so wouldn't be restored - I'm guessing that this is because there's no storage partition anymore.

As a result all my keychain stuff is gone & I now an't open any websites, because Safari is telling my the certificate can't be trusted (not sure if the two are connected.

I was thinking of maybe repartitioning the drive now that it's accessible & trying to redo time machine again. Ideally I'd like to keep it as one now, but if that's the only thing I can do, then so be it.

Is there anything I can do here or am I hosed?

I have time machine (current to last night, & carbon copy which the last backup was about a week ago

What about manually copying over your backup onto the fresh install?
