Is your Couch more comfortable than your Bed?
Ever fallen asleep on the Couch, woken up and thought I'm staying here.
Is there a need to redesign Beds into a more pouch like shape. They haven't changed since they first came out.

Bed for me. Memory foam mattress, 400 threadcount sheets and duvet cover. Comfy headboard....no couch can match that!
Well, not our one which seems to have a spring that pokes me in the arse every time I sit on it.

If your couch is more comfortable then your bed then you need to buy a new bed.

Both are really comfy but i prefer to sleep in my bed cause my bedroom is darker than the sitting room so never really doze off on the couch.

Might have a kick ass couch.

Love me couch but it plays havoc with me back if I fall asleep on it when I'm locked!

    Prefer the bed!

The worst thing is when you almost fall asleep on the couch and are feeling cozy and sleepy, but know that you really should go to bed (including brushing teeth, take off clothes etc).

But you also know that if you do that, you'll be wide awake again and won't be able to get back to sleep for ages.

Couches are impossible to lie on straight as you cant fit -- I'm 5'11'' which is fairly average for a guy -- there's always part of me hanging off or I have to curl into an uncomfortable ball.

A pre-sleep on the couch is a prerequisite for achieving a good night's sleep in bed, I find. The trick is to snooze for an hour or so on the couch and quickly take that sleep momentum up to the bed. This generally means a very swift, pared down bed routine, but worth it because you'll be out in a minute after your head hits the pillow.

The feeling of dozing off on the sofa is one of the loveliest cosiest feelings in the world.

The waking up freezing at 3am fully clothed with the light blinding you, and the noise of the telly drilling through your brain however, is not.

I love it, particularly during the day for a power nap. So rejuvenating. I would never go to bed during the day, as that causes sluggishness (for me anyway). Couch nap - you're not sleeping deeply, so it's just a short pick-me-up sleep, and all set again.

Bed is so much more comfortable and spacious. The couch is really just a social thing for me. I wouldn't go into the living room if people weren't around.

More of a bed person myself

My bed is super comfy, but I've got the ultimate couch upstairs. It's made by the stuffed toy company Nici and if feels like you are sitting on the softest teddy bear in the world :D

Similar to this one, but a teddy bear colour.

I have a reclining sofa so there's nothing I love more than curling up on that with a good book. I don't sleep on it, though. I can't nap, always wake-up feeling like a boiled sh1te, so bed is for sleeping for me.

Likewise, if I'm having a really lazy day I still have to get out of bed, throw on a tracksuit or something and retire to the couch for the duration. To me there's just something, I dunno, slovenly about not getting out of bed or not getting dressed for an entire day.

    Bed is more comfortable.

I think couch might seem better because when you fall asleep on your couch you are generally exhausted. A bit like how food tastes better when you're really hungry.

you need at least a 3 seater to get comfy.

I like the back support you get from a couch.

The bed because you can spoon the f*ck out of your partner in the bed.

I prefer the bed but sometimes the couch is just to comfy to get off.

I slept on a sofa for 2/3 of the year a few years back after I got a new projector downstairs and kept falling asleep.

Now seeing an Osteopath twice a month (mainstream medicine just offered me pain killers).

In retrospect, I should have bought a projector with a lower resolution and a sofa bed with the change.

:( Hands up all the renters who make do with the supplied bed. No doubt been subject to a mass of semen, occasional piss seepages and god knows what else from nights on the lash. And when you think of what previous tenants might have done it really puts you off.

it's called a sofa where i am from, only people with posh tongues would call it a couch and yanks

Have you ever had a raging sleep horn on the couch and a family member walk in to catch you with your massive woodie hanging out?

    I have.

Therefore, I never lay on the couch.

I've a good bed & am a good sleeper. I'd sleep on a clothes line!

However we have a couch. It's over 6 feet between the arms, so most people could stretch out on it.

I think there's some sort of drug impregnated into the fabric because everyone who lies on it for any length of time is out cold. Totally.

I try to avoid lying on it myself....

Superking bed with electric blanket, nice warm duvet , my little piece of heaven.

Sometimes you wake up and the bed is full with little sleepy heads who crawled in during the night and full of the morning delight that children bring.

Big Mickey will be checked out...that's a guy who sells beds by the way.

My parents had great plans of doing up my bedroom when I was going to be starting college. We did not foresee me having to repeat the leaving so I ended up sleeping on the couch for 6 weeks! It wasn't that bad really but I found the couch much warmer. The bedroom turned out lovely and sleeping on the couch was worth it just for the new double bed I got.

I really do. :( I let a fat friend sleep in mine once and they wrecked it and now the slats pop out when I roll over. Stuff how it looks, next time round I'm getting a solid comfy divan.

I like to nap on the couch and have always had large comfy couches for just this reason. I suffer from insomnia and often simply switching to the couch can help me to fall asleep, especially if I leave a David Attenborough nature show playing in the backgroud. That man's voice is like valium.
