DIY BMW door handle fix and Bavauto

The handle mechanism on my BMW X5 E53 broken yesterday and I have found the parts and instructions to fix it on a site called bavauto.com. The fix looks like its straight forward enough once you have the right tools.

Has anyone bought from Bavauto before and have any feedback?
Has anyone attempted a similar fix before and have an opinion about whether I should be going down the DIY or garage route?

The door needs to be stripped, air bag removed etc..

Once you have the parts just try yourself.
Make sure you disconnect the negative lead of the battery, which is a major pain to access on the e53 though...or just reset the airbag fault afterwards if you have some tools, will be a lot faster than accessing the battery.

If you fail miserably then go to a garage.
At least you would have tried.

    :D

There is a very detailed youtube video which covers it which includes the point about disconnecting the negative before you proceed.

I think that once I have the right tools I should be ok... famous last words maybe :pac:

If anyone has feedback on Bavauto it would be great. They are based in the states so I probably have a long wait and customs charges to pay for the part/tools.
