I'm trying to find a good quality, evening wear top with a white midi skirt I got in Coast. I've looked at Maje, Sandro, the Outnet, Net a Porter...anyone got any other ideas?

I'd like something cropped, that comes to the waistband of the skirt, maybe in blue or grey.

Can you post a pic of the skirt?

    Sure:

So, something maybe the length of the top in the picture, but different colour. Perhaps longer sleeves?

I see why you are having problems matching up a top alright. Its a fab skirt. I wouldn't go much longer on the sleeves as the one in the pic to be honest. You might find something like that top in blue which would be lovely. The neck on that top is perfect.

Yes, blue would be cool. They have some stuff on Folkster that are similar but they are backless :pac: Not exactly what I'm after.

Gas. I had would you try something backless typed and deleted it. I think that would be really elegant with that skirt

Hah! No way :D Well, were you thinking like this?

I'm not really ruling anything out. I just thought it might look a bit odd.

Yes. Would be almost perfect only for the pattern. It would either need to match or be a compete contrast imo. If you got that in a similar sparkle design as the original it would be lovely.

I'll probably get the original picture one if I can't see anything else. I just thought a contrast colour would be nice.

Would something like this work? With the white skirt...

I'm not sure if it's too much texture going on...http://www.coast-stores.com/brianna-top/tops/coast/fcp-product/1460098?locale=en

I don't like that shape at all. Just my opinion though :)

I know this is too late but you should wear this skirt with a long sleeved knit like Olivia Palermo's wedding style!

Thanks but about 2 months too late ;-) But I wore it with a silvery grey sleeveless top with a lace panel back. I could wear it again with a grey knit top, I think that works too.
