Hi there, quick question. Making a Franken-bike. Any ideas if an Acera 8 speed free-wheel cog will work with a Claris 8 speed dérailleur? Thinking that if there are issues, it would be in the middle of the gear change???

Should be fine. It's the shifter rather than the derailleur that matters.
