cycle carrier for 4x4

    hi, anyone here could recommend me a cycle carrier for a 4x4?

    No direct experience of it, but might be worth a look. Works with the spare tyre hung off the back.

    Check the loads on the door, if you bend it you will be in for a big bill. If you're only using it for a single road bike you aren't likely to have a problem, I guess.

    I use a Witter carrier which attached to the towbar and has a bend in it to get it around the wheel. Can't open the back door with it on though. Some of the Thule ones will drop to allow you to open an estate boot door but I doubt they will work with a normal 4x4 door that swings out. Got it for 50 quid on adverts.

    Also check your tyre size, if it's a full size 4x4 some of the tyre mounted racks won't fit properly:)
