Have downloaded a few statements from banking online via the 'download' button.
These won't open in any format I choose.

What format are they supposed to be?

    Hi kleefarr,

Thank you for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

Estatements can be opened in PDF format and you made need to download Adobe Reader to allow you to view them. Please see the following extract from our FAQ's which can also be located here

'Your eStatement will be displayed electronically as a PDF and you can print your eStatement by choosing the 'print' option under the file menu or clicking on the 'print' icon in the toolbar. You can also save your eStatement by clicking on the 'save a copy' icon in the toolbar or under the file menu.

To view, print or save the PDF file you will need Adobe Reader. If you don't already have this please click here to download Adobe Reader.

If you save your eStatement to your personal computer, please ensure that you have adequate security measures in place to prevent unauthorised users from viewing the information stored on your personal computer.'

If you have tried this and are still experiencing difficulty with your eStatements, please call BOI Direct on 0818 365 365 where a representative will be more than happy to investigate this for you.

We hope this helps and if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

    Thanks,
    Elaine

    Thanks for the reply Elaine.
I have Adobe Reader X installed and all other PDFs open without problem.
When I download the statement it comes in as a file of Type: File. No file extension.
They are not displayed on the 365online site as being PDFs either.

    Regards,

    Kevin

Ok, seems to work ok in IE. All required statements downloaded in PDF format.
So the problem is with Firefox not liking it.

    All sorted for now.

    Thanks Elaine.
