Going over to London to see U2 Monday 26th October with 3 mates, aged 38 to 40. Looking for ideas on arranging accomodation and info on late bars. We'll prob just stay in a cheap, handy hostel somewere near a few late bars. The plan would be to have a nice, few late drinks in late bars after the gig......and by late I mean 5am or thereabouts if theres any on a Monday night? We're all into decent music,indie/rock/alternative so no hardcore dance bars! Were would be the best location to stay in? Camden,Soho,Shoreditch??We dont know London at all so any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Roadhouse in Covent Garden http://www.roadhouse.co.uk/whats-on?month=10&year=2015

    XOYO in Shoreditch http://www.xoyo.co.uk/

and The Crobar in Soho http://www.crobar.co.uk/

are all open until 3am. Can't think of anywhere open later than that unless you go to a casino.

If you're staying out that late, make sure that where you stay is easy to get to by nightbus (or not stupidly expensive by cab).

Ye could go to XOYO and then when it closes, try go for an early breakfast at Duck & Waffle in the Heron Tower http://duckandwaffle.com/

Thanks for that. Think we're gonna stay at SoHostel in Dean Street in Soho. Not sure if there's any cheap hostels around Covent Garden. Just looking for a decent, centrally located hostel close to late bar or bars.

Might be some useful info here (although 5am on a Monday might narrow your choice down considerably!) http://www.timeout.com/london/bars-pubs/late-night-bars-and-pubs-in-london

Hijacking this slightly with a question on late bars in London on Sunday nights.
Heading out after the Ireland match on Sunday night and will be looking for a few late bar options. We will be staying on Regent street and don't fancy tubes or cabs that night. I have been told that O'Neil's on Wardour street would be open. Any other suggestions?

    Thank you.

We're staying in soho and there's supposed to be a few decent late bars dotted around there and is only a short walk to Regent St I think.
