M4 interset question

Wanted to use some 40mm M4 interset cavity fixings for a small, light shelf, but after measuring and putting the interset in, hadn't realised that the screw needed to be in so much for the thread to catch (there were extra brackets on the wood which I didn't know about). Would longer M4 screws (maybe 60) fit? (The original fixing is rawlplug if I'm allowed to mention it)

Should be fine imo. Just be a bit more careful not to over-tighten as the extra length could make it more prone to wringing.

Just for info got different branded 75mm M4s and they did the trick alright, fitted grand and seem to have secured everything fine to the wall (did two shelves).
