    I was on the website and saw prices for the gym and they seem quite steep. My friend has researched UCD and reckons it is free. Is there no way of getting free access to the gym even if you play for a team of some sort or what is the story?

    And I have a question to add can you get a month by month membership or do you just have to sign up for the whole year?

    The gym isn't free in UCD, in fact it's mandatory to pay for it. When you pay your reg fees in UCD they include a 'student centre levy', which is essentially paying for just a gym membership. Think it's about 200e? Not 100% sure what exact rate is at the moment.

    Anyway, an academic year's membership for 195e in the DCU gym is an absolute bargain and hundreds of euro less than you'll pay for any other gym around Dublin!
