Oat or barley straw for feeding ewes

    @rangler1 Just after getting a call offering both. Which would be best for feeding ewes pre lambing? 8x4x 2.5 €24 sound right?

    Used barley here last year and year before. Worked fine.
    Don't know much about oaten.

    I've never used oaten straw, barley straw works fine. straw sounds a bit dear, hoping to pay 10 here for 4 by 4 which is dear but would have more straw in a bale than anyone else I've bought off

    It's always dear when it gets this far 80 or 90 miles. haulier has to get his cut unfortunately

    Nice to get it delivered into the yard for that so, thought you meant €24 in the field
