I hear this all the time and it bugs the hell out of me.

Whilst I was open to the idea that Haymon dominating the sport could be very good , I now think that he is ruining the sport for fans.

Every weekend we see lobsided matches , grossly lobsided.

It seems that the Free to View model means that there is no money to pay two competitive named fighters.
Haymon has been snapping up plenty of c-level and lesser fighters to match his upper tier pugilists.

Haymon is trying to destroy his competitors (other promoters) and scuppering their events by booking out arenas and holding Free to View cards to coincide with his competitors matches.

It will be interesting to see how this strategy plays out - and indeed how long his money lasts before the model folds.

Yeah it does look like he's trying to strangle all other promoters. Interesting that he has other promoter like Lou Di Bella to "front up" as the promoter of the various fights. I would have thought they wouldn't agree to this

Also the legal cases being taken by Golden Boy and Top Rank against Haymon may cause him to backtrack on some of the dirty tactics of booking out arenas.

I was at the Kovalev fight in Vegas and there was a PBC card on in Vegas too on the same night. I didn't see if there were many people at the PBC event but the Kovalev fight had some of the seating stacked away and out of sight of the tv camera's.

Was it a good night in Vegas ? Would it be worthwhile travelling if only for the boxing

Yeah - the Kovalev fight suffered by the looks of it .
Haymon has it in for Katy Duva , she was the one who sparked off the lawsuit in the first place.

Saying all that - really looking forward to the Mares /Santa Cruz fight this weekend.
Leo Santa Cruz claimed to name his son after Al Hymon lol . Naturally I'm hellbent on a Mares victory.

Ah it was class. I was never in Vegas before and it was part of my honeymoon so convinced the mrs to go aswell. She actually liked it.
We got lucky with the Jean Pascal Yunieski Gonzalez fight was a slugfest.
Then there was Michael Buffer aswell introducing and doing his famous "Lets get ready to rumble" line. The crowd were into the fights aswell.

I wudn't go over there purely for the boxing thou unless its a class fight. It is an expensive city but it's def worth taking a few days to go round some of the hotels and if you want to the Grand Canyon.
    Sorry for going off topic.

I didn't know that Santa Cruz called his fella Al thats mad.
Yeah its a good fight this weekend.

Be interesting to see what happens with Carl Frampton, Lee Selby and James De Gale now that they've signed with Haymon and Hearns is still their promoter
