On the newest sky boxes there is no longer the rf output but a i/o port. Does anyone know how I connect my magic eye to the box. I was looking up online and it seems I need an I/O link. I cant just run cable from the box to the eye down in the room?

You can't connect your RF cable to the box, no.

The IO link is the tidiest solution, though if you happen to have another type of RF modulator lying around, you could use that to at least get the pictures & sound to the TV in the other room.

Is it only 1 TV that's fed from the RF connection?

I have the tv down in the living room and the sky box is next to it. Nothing else connected. I want to be able to use the magic eye down in my bedroom. What are the steps I need to do to get that working.

I presume the new boxes are like this to get people to sign up for multi-room.

You need a IO link, & connect the cable feeding the RF signal to the bedroom TV to it.

Since you only have this 1 TV connected via RF, any of the available IO links should do the job e.g. of the selection here (5th, 6th, & 7th items shown), I'd be happy going with the cheapest.

Thank you for that. Any particular shops that would sell these, would prefer to get it sorted tomorrow rather then wait for it to be posted?

Couple of places that definitely have them mentioned in this thread.

Would be worth trying any place that sells electronic stuff.
