Hi, Need help please with a query re our upcoming marriage plans :)

We are hoping to get married in a civil ceremony in the registration office in South of Ireland (Anywhere in Cork preferably) on 21/22nd of December.

We have a venue provisionally booked for the reception, but cannot get a ceremony date from the registration office prior to our notification of intention to marry appointment on the 9th September.

They will not tell us the available ceremony dates. I cannot understand why?

Is there any way we can sort this out prior to the 9th of September as we would very much like to start making plans.

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like something might be wrong, as afaik you have to give your wedding date at the notification ceremony, and if you decide not to marry on that date, then you have a set period of several months in which your HSE approval is still valid. Did they give a reason for not telling you what the available dates are?

Did you call or email them directly? I had no issue getting this information from the Cork city office on the phone and confirmed by email

Thanks for replies. We eventually got the information we needed. After quite a bit of hassle though.
