Ever since I was young I've always wanted to be a guard.
I done y leaving cert last year and done a Plc course after but not sure what now. I was think of doing an apprenticeship also.
Any advice on when the guards might be recruiting and what to do to help my chance ?

Well firstly you have to get through three aptitude tests before you get to prove yourself to an interview panel.

It's not as easy as it was before to join, as you can fail at any stage, and that's you out of the competition.

Just make sure you reach the minimum requirements with languages, and education. Then you can just start working, or join the reserves, volunteer or go to college.

All life experience is benefial, but as I said with all these stages it's very difficult to progress, especially with the amount of people applying.
