    Hi all
Just looking for a bit if advice on the above product
I'm going to flush the o/h 08 opel astra gtc 1.4 rad/ccoolant as she unintentionally mixed up the red/pink with a blue coolant and its turning to sludge
Although it says FOR ALL MAKES AND MODELS am I looking for trouble sticking this prestone or should I just get coolant from an opel dealer
Has anybody used this product? ?

    Thanks lads/ladettes

What was in it first? I take it was the red/pink stuff which is modern OAT antifreeze.

The blue stuff is old-school Ethylene Glycol (although I've seen that dyed differently, so always read the label)

Depending on the exact composition of the OAT stuff, mixing with EG may end up in turning the lot to sludge as you've found out.

So what does the Prestone stuff say on the label?

    Thanks for the reply mac

Haven't got it on me now as in work
But did say it is OAT and silicate free and some other material free
The original was pink/red and because of the bit of sludge in the expansion I'm going to flush the lot and was going to use the prestone as the new coolant
I've to mix it myself to 50/50 or 70/30
It also says suitable for all road makes and models
I was just wondering if anybody has used it in the same scenario as myself Or has any input on the product

Have used it twice before without any problems. Only thing is it's hard to see inside a dirty expansion tank. Give it a good flush out and add concentrate equal to half your total coolant capacity. Fill with water after.

If It was my own I wouldnt be as hesitant just with the opel I'm just cautious and it is belong to the war office
I had problems with her steering fluid before and got it sorted with the original fluid.
