Henshin Aikido are very happy to have Ellis Amdur back in Dublin for a one day workshop this September.

Ellis will be presenting both empty-hand and weapons (jo) applications of what he calls Taikyoku Aikido. This is based on his observation that all of aikido can be ‘mapped’ on one of five vectors, which conform rather closely to the ikkyo through gokyo aikido techniques.
This is not, however, intended as another aikido ‘style.’ Rather, he regards it as an open-source system, one that should prove useful to any practitioner, with intention of creating a training methodology that will enable practitioners to become more powerful and adaptable, particularly in freestyle conditions, without having to abandon or alter the aikido form that they already practice.
