Quick question- we are considering clonabreany house for our wedding, we are wondering has anyone attended a wedding here with 200+ guests and if so how was the experience food/space/accommodation?
any advice / information would be much appreciated!
    Thanks!

I'd be very wary of that venue with such a large number.
The self catering only has 37 bedrooms, so you may be stuck looking elsewhere if you want to look after your guests / ensure they are nearby.

It's a lovely, classy venue but difficult from an entertainment perspective. Early finish for music, 1.30 at weekend, 12.30 at other times and they have recently installed a very limited in-house PA system that bands and djs must use, that gets turned down further at 12 when it can't be heard much past the dancefloor.

We went to view but didnt book for a few reasons: very out of the way and hard to get to, accomodation is limited and not much around the area as well, gale force wind blowing on the day and the marquee was very noisy and the music was audible on the dance floor but couldnt be heard further back in the room (which is okay for people chatting but still)

I'm sure that somebody on Boards likes this place?

We've booked it for 2016 and other forums and word of mouth rate it highly.

We're booked for 2017 and absolutely love it,they're lovely to deal with and I've only heard great reviews from people who've been there :)

Like all venues, it's perfect if it suits you. It wasn't necessarily that we didn't 'like' it.
The lack of accommodation was a big negative for us, and many others it seems.
It has many positives going for it though.
