claim back cost of buying business

I am tax resident in Ireland, I have just bought a small UK website business providing directory and advertising services to other UK businesses.

I'm aware that i can claim back any expenses involved in setting up the business against profit in the first year, but is it also possible to claim back or amortize the actual cost of buying the business against profits ?

    Thanks Paul.
