Im seriously considering doing a higher diploma in supply chain management part time. I currently don't work in the area however its an area that I find interesting. I am just wondering how is the higher diploma viewed in the work force? also are there many graduate opportunities available ?

I'm kind of in the same shoes as you OP, and have been searching for information regarding H.Dip and their acceptance.I'm doing a H.Dip. in CS,and I'm not too worried since I work for an IT company.
It's mostly negative from what I can come up with after digging around Irish based websites and forums, since you're not doing 4 years of college (which in most people's eyes you haven't seen/practiced enough material within the field).
Your best bet to move into that field is to be already employed within a company that specializes in movement of products. You can find a role for which you're currently specialized in, and then use contacts within the company to move around into supply chain management.
