Eligible for susi grant?

Im considering going back to college to do a level 6 direct entry course. I did a year of a level 7 course in 2009 but failed exams and never returned. In jan 2012 i received a fetac level 6 cert. Would holding a fetac level 6 cert affect my eligibility for a student grant if i was to start this september?

Having already completed 1 year of a level 7 course, you would not be eligible for any funding until you are entering year 2 of any undergraduate course or until you have had a break of 5 years or more from studies.
