Can i use the internet while on a call on my phone

    Hi
    I got a Oneplus One.
    Can I access data while on a call on my phone.
    I've never been able to do this but maybe someone here can set me straight.
    It would make things so much easier.
    Seems strange in this day and age if I couldn't.

    I think in older versions of Android the data connection was turned off when a call came through, I definitely experienced this before.

    This doesn't happen any more.

    Not sure about 4G but whenever I'm on 3G and take a phone call, I get disconnected from the internet.
    Think the phone defaults to 2G or something.

    OPO comes with jellybean, this should not be an issue, I have the same phone and works fine.

    If you're on 4G and receive a call the phone will instantly drop onto 2/3G to handle the call. This is because right now in Ireland 4G supports IP data only, no calls or texts. This transition may be causing the handset to drop the connection temporarily but it shouldnt last long.

    I'd check the roaming mode in the test menus, normally you want it on "GSM/LTE (Auto)".
