Is it worth buying a new battery, as you can't be sure of getting a genuine one, or is it better to just get a new phone. What is the thinking these days on this.

A new battery, obviously. The price difference between a new battery and a new phone would surely be huge?

Plenty of genuine batteries to be found. Just do your homework.
