    Hi
Can someone explain this to me and the requirements. Am I correct in saying that in order to apply for a transfer to another course I must have obtained the equivalent points for that course in my LC

Yes, you must have the required points and minimum entry requirements. The course you want to transfer to must also have space. You might get away with the points if you ask the programme head, depending on places.

Hi, I just completed first year studying bachelor of education in pats and I want to transfer to the accounting and finance course in dcu and I am just wondering if I have the necessary requirements should it be possible? How many places are available? If really appreciate some feedback:)

Yes, it would be possible. Unfortunately you've long missed the deadline for transferring for the coming academic year though. Transfer applications were meant to be with DCU by July 1st. I would advise contacting the college (perhaps the head of the programme you want to transfer into) to see what your options are but it is highly unlikely you'll be able to transfer this year. They may be able to help you apply for a place to start next year and defer your current course or something like that.

Thanks for your reply. I contacted the head on Friday and left a message so hopefully hear back tomorrow. Do you think it is a definite no or might it be possible? Also do you have any idea how many people are on this course?

No idea how many are on the course. I would say your chances are extremely slim due to it being 2 months since the closing date. You could get very lucky and there might be a sudden opening in the class but it takes a lot of time and effort on both your behalf and the college's behalf to arrange a transfer so I most definitely would not be holding my breath.

I have to have my leaving cert results stamped by the university. Would this be the university that I am currently in? In a bit confused as I don't see why they would need to stamp them.

Is this part of the application process? Who asked you to do it? It's probably your current university but I can't say for certain without more information/context!

I figured it out, it was my current university. Do you have any idea when I would hear back and will I hear back even if my application isn't successful?
