Maths Science UCD vs Maths Science UCC

I'v been looking at college courses particularly maths science. I'v found that courses are typically higher points in Dublin yet the maths science course in UCC is 550 points while the UCD course is now 510 points. Is there any reason for the 40 point gap? if so what is it and what separates the two courses in terms of degrees gotten and material taught that warrants the points difference.
